yes, the glow plugs are for cold starts.
the deisel ignites by compressing it, once engine is “warmed up”
deisel engines have much more compression than gasoline engines.
I have a China brand ATV. Yeah its cheap but for a 200cc, it hauls firewood and starts on -5 degree mornings. The overheating isn’t too bad since I’ve sealed the radiator, pulled the thermostat and broke the fan. Still runs. I don’t know how, even the gas is from November and it still starts first crank.
They dont have lots of problems… Porsche has them in the new 4 door Porsche… Fuel pump over a hot exhaust, u can get in the car easily by turning of the alarm, which box is in the right front wheel “chassis”
had one here in the company where i work in… we check them… we all laughed about that peace of shit lol
And well… German cars are alrdy expensive… quality coasts
u suck omg…
Audis are more than just worth… Driving mostly with the RS6 or the 2009 S8 around from my chef, both tuned on over 750 hp… the rs6 pwns u each porsche ![]()
BMWs suck same as Porsche
so with the veg oil, do you have to do that process or can you just take a bottle of veg oil stick it in your tank and drive off?
ok, so a big hydrogen tank is dangerous. What about a small hydrogen fuel cell?
@dracosengir
He’s speaking in laymans terms, not in physicist jargon. I understood exactly what he was saying.
@dracosengir
The term octane is both a rating and a hydrocarbon. First he talked about the rating, then he talked about the hydrocarbon. Nothing that he said about octane was technically incorrect unless you assume he was mixing the two therms “octane” and “octane rating”, which I don’t think he was.
if you take mechanics seriously then get yourself a textbook such as automotive tech 3 or 4, and some service manuals for what you are working on. Octane is a rating of fuel…..not an additive….geeze. Anyway, entertaining videos, but thats about all they are good for.
For the love of god please dont open an online garage, you have the right idea about most things but your facts are completely warped in most of what you are saying. Aerosolize? is that the new technician lingo is it? Latent heat rises from the engine and heats the fuel in the fuel rail?latent heat refers to the amount of energy released or absorbed by a chemical substance during a change of state that occurs without changing its temperature, IE ice to water or boiling of water.
not sure but i think maybe we don’t do winter/summer fuels un the U.S. anymore, at least not at most stations. I do know they splash the tanks with additives to pass inspections, so you may not always be getting the same octane or it’ll be full of ‘HEET’.
Since diesel ignights under compresion if I were to put a little bit inside of a cyender for an air compresser would it ignight?
it’s just another performance mod. higher octane+a chip= more HP. but only like 10 hp at the most. so yeah pretty much a waste unless your doing like amateur drag comps or something along that lines and want that extra little bit
I think his videos are credentials enough. All the clutch replacements, suspension jobs, and other instructional videos should prove he knows his stuff plenty well.
NO! Only if you can break the H2O into H2 and O and then run the car on hydrogen.
I don’t see why you would buy a chip like that. If your engine was designed for lower octane fuel, then you buy a chip, you’re just spending more money!
i believe why its recommended you change your oil if the car has been sitting is because people will warm it up for a few minutes per month, or drive it a few miles per month and this doesnt allow the water in it to burn off, plus it adds new condensation and breaks down the oil. also it would be cool if you could discuss the shell commercials wih the valves, and whether 92 octtane gives u better gas mileage or power than 87 octane
That is useful gas does age. I’ll try that type text time mixing small amounts of it with new gasoline. Good facts also!
Very good! I thoroughly enjoyed your vids. 5 stars and subscribed

whats the deal with running a stock 305 on alcohol or whatever they use in drag cars or mud trucks
i want to try out my chevy mud truck on alcohol but im not sure how to go about doing it
you can buy lead at the gas station and mix it whit the fuel.
and modifications? just some valve’s
A side effect of the lead additives was protection of the valve seats from erosion. Many classic cars’ engines have needed modification to use lead-free fuels since leaded fuels became unavailable.
A common ethanol-gasoline mix of 10% ethanol mixed with gasoline is called gasohol or E10, and an ethanol-gasoline mix of 85% ethanol mixed with gasoline is called E85. The most extensive use of ethanol takes place in Brazil, where the ethanol is derived from sugarcane
